High-purity water that has been treated to remove dissolved ions, minerals and salts.

Common Uses

• 🧪 Laboratory preparation – preparing solutions, reagents and buffers.
• 🔬 Laboratory equipment – rinsing glassware and equipment.
• ⚗️ Chemical analysis – applications where dissolved minerals may interfere with results.
• 🧫 Microbiology – preparation and dilution of certain laboratory media and solutions.
• 💧 Instrument use – suitable for equipment requiring low-ion water, subject to the manufacturer's specifications.
• 🧹 Cleaning – final rinsing of laboratory equipment to minimise mineral deposits.
• 🏭 Industrial applications – processes where low mineral/ionic content water is required.

Note: Deionised water is not automatically equivalent to distilled, sterile, or ultrapure water. The appropriate water grade should be selected according to the specific application.
